For those of you who'd rather keep the DIY pumpkin decorating process a little easier (and cleaner!), these gorgeous floral pumpkins are perfect and easily customizable for any color or décor scheme.
It's also a great alternative to carving, as painted pumpkins last much, much longer. Another great option is to use a faux craft pumpkin, which will allow you to enjoy your beautiful creation year after year. Tip: It's a good idea to get a white colored pumpkin as it will be much easier to cover with paint.
To begin, simply paint your pumpkin with your chosen color of chalk paint, allowing it to dry a bit between coats. Chalk paint is ideal as it goes on opaque and dries fairly quickly, however you can always use regular craft paint.
Once dry, the flower application process can begin. Pull the flower tops from the stems, and trim off any excess plastic parts that may be protruding from the back (this will allow the flower to be glued flat to the surface of the pumpkin.)
Using a hot glue gun, apply glue to the back of the flower and place in your desired location. Repeat this process with the flowers and greenery until your arrangement is complete.
That's it! It's really that easy!
One great design option is to place flowers on top, which gives it a floral pumpkin vase look. Another option is to encircle one side of the pumpkin creating a sweeping floral wreath arrangement.
You really can't go wrong with this project, no matter what direction you go. Just use your creativity and have fun! See below for a list of supplies needed to create your own:

Faux craft pumpkins (of course, you can use real pumpkins which work just as well, however you will not be able to re-use them for the next fall decorating season)
There are certainly many creative options for the faux flowers and embellishments, but if you'd like to re-create something that looks similar to the floral pumpkins seen in the pictures, we suggest using the following:
